Baramulla, June 10: In a friendly rivalry match played at Showkat Ali Stadium Baramulla, Department of Media Studies of Govt. Degree College Baramulla defeated Department of Psychology in a one-sided encounter by 7 wickets.
Opting to bat first, team Psychology only managed to post a paltry total of 87/10 on board in 18.4 overs. Muneeer was top scorer with 38 runs to his name. For Media Studies, Saqib Bashir was the pick of the bowlers as he bagged 4 wickets giving only 11 runs in his 4 overs while as Dr. Rouf and Mohd Manan also scalped 2 wickets each.
In response, it was a cake-walk for Media Studies as they chased down the target of 88 runs easily loosing only 3 wickets(88/3) in 16 overs. Owais Marazi was the top scored with 24 runs to his name while as Dr. Danish Nabi and Saqib Bashir added unbeaten 22 and 15 runs respectively.
Saqib Bashir was adjudged as player of the match for his brilliant all-round performance.
