Five Suspects Arrested After Gunfire at Cricketer Naseem Shah’s Residence in Lower Dir

LOWER DIR: Police have detained five suspects following a firing incident at the residence of Pakistan fast bowler Naseem Shah in the Mayar area of Lower Dir, officials confirmed on Monday.

According to police reports, unidentified assailants opened fire at the cricketer’s house late Sunday night, targeting the main gate and windows. A vehicle parked inside the property was also damaged in the attack.

“The firing caused damage to the main gate, several windows, and a car. Our team reached the site immediately and took five suspects into custody. A case has been registered at Mayar Police Station, and further investigations are ongoing,” said a police spokesperson.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and Naseem Shah’s family escaped unharmed. The 21-year-old pacer is currently in Rawalpindi with the national squad, which is preparing for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, beginning November 11.

Naseem Shah’s Upcoming Commitments

After the ODI series, Naseem is scheduled to feature in the T20I Tri-Series involving Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe, which will be held in Rawalpindi and Lahore from November 17 to 29.
