The pre-season fitness camp for JKCA senior men kicked off on Thursday at GGM Science College Ground, Jammu.
A total of 30 players are part of this fitness camp, which will go on for 10 days.
Apart from various fitness drills, players are also performing yoga under a dedicated instructor.
After this fitness camp, multi-day trial matches will also be held among these selected players.
Currently, among this list Shubham Khajuria and Vivrant Sharma are busy playing Deodhar Trophy for North Zone.
Yudhvir Singh, who was also part of the squad, was ruled out of the tournament due to an injury.
Umran Malik is part of India’s limited-overs team squad in the West Indies.
JKCA this year didn’t hold any open trials for U-23 and Senior categories instead directly shortlisted the players. The decision was highly criticised by both players and fans since it disables new talent to come forward.
JKCA is also conducting T20 trial matches for Senior Women and is about to hold multi-day trial matches for U-19 and U-16 categories.
