Srinagar: Pakistan opening batter Fakhar Zaman made a stunning return from injury by smashing a brilliant half century in the PSL 2025 vs Multan Sultans at Rawalpindi.
In the process Fakhar Zaman equaled Mohammad Rizwan’s record for most half-centuries in PSL.
Chasing a total of 220, Gladiators were bundled out for 140 in 16.3 overs, thanks to a dominant bowling display from Qalandars, registering their first win in PSL 10.
Earlier, after being invited to bat, Fakhar Zaman’s and Sam Billings’s half-centuries powered Lahore Qalandars to 219 for the loss of six wickets in their 20 overs.
Fakhar Zaman scored a gutsy knock of 67 off 39 deliveries, striking seven fours and three sixes.
Fakhar Zaman leveled with Multan Sultan’s skipper Mohammad Rizwan’s record of most half-centuries. The record for most fifties in the PSL tournament belongs to ace batter Babar Azam, who tops the list with 33 half-centuries.
