Srinagar: Bouncing back strongly from the humiliating away two defeats, Downtown Heroes FC registered its first win in the Second Division I-League at TRC Turf Ground Srinagar on Monday.
In its first home match of the season Downtown Heroes FC clashed with Techtro Swades United FC. Downtown Heroes FC dominated the initial minutes of the match completely ans should have scored goal early on. However, they finally took the lead in 31st minute through Mehran strike. Ag half time they were leading by 1-0.
In the second half visitors proved tough nut to crack for the Downtown FC. Both got chances but failed to find back of the net. Downtown Heroes FC won by 1-0 and opened its account on points table.
With this win Downtown Heroes now stand at fourth place in the group of five teams. Bug only three points seperate top four teams.
Downtown Heroes next host Mumbai City Reserves on April 2.
