Srinagat, November 28: The District Srinagar Athletic Association organised a District Athletics Championship at Gindun Ground Rajbagh Srinagar on November 27 and 28.
The event was held under the ages of J&K Athletics Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.
Tufail Ramzaan President DistrictAthletic Association along with General secretary Tajinder Singh had declared the championship open on November 27.
Before the event started two minutes silence was observed in the memory of late Sheikh Tulal Athletics coach from J&K Sports Council.
Around 400 athletes comprising of both boys and girls from various schools,colleges and sports academies participated in the championship.
Divisional Sports Officer J&K Sports Council, Nusrat Gazala was chief guest at concluding ceremony.
Amoung others present were , Senior athletic coach Azad Ahmed Shah, Former International Footballer Majeed Karoo, Director Water Sports J&K Mir Bilqees and senior athletes.
