Srinagar, March 18: In the ongoing North Edition of 28th Annual Football Championship two matches were played at TRC Ground Srinagar.

The first match was played between DFA Sopore and DFA Kupwara XI. DFA Sopore XI scored two goals in quick succession and tried to dominate the show. After the interval Kupwara Boys equalised the score by scoring two brilliant goals. Both the teams again tried to take lead and it was DFA Kupwara XI whose striker imtiyaz Malik scored the deciding goal & scored a hatrick in the match. DFA kupwara XI defeated DFA Sopore XI by 3-2.
The second match was played between DFA Zone Handwara & DFA Baramulla. Handwara players dominated the game and defeated DFA Baramulla XI by six goals to two.
In the South edition of the Championship DFA Anantnag XI defeated DFA Pulwama XI in a tie breaker by 3-2.
The Officials of J&K Football Association were present on the occasion.
