Deodhar Trophy: Shubham Khajuria, Vivrant Sharma in North Zone playing XI vs South Zone

Two J&K cricketers Shubham Khajuria and Vivrant Sharma are featuring in North Zone’s playing XI in the first match of Deodhar Trophy against South Zone today.

The duo made it to the North Zone squad for this premier one-day tournament after doing well in Vijay Hazare Trophy last year. Pacer Yudhvir Singh is also part of the squad but didn’t make a cut to the playing XI.

South Zone won the toss and decided to bat first on a apparent fat deck at Siechem Stadium, Puducherry. They got off to a cracking start, forming an opening stand of 117 runs.

Rohan Kunnumal was the first batter to depart as Mayank Markande struck in his second over.
