Himachal Pradesh’s Paras Dogra is confirmed to lead Jammu and Kashmir in the upcoming Buchi Babu Tourney 2024 as KSW reported on August 6.
JKCA officially announced the 15-member squad today with Paras named the captain. The squad is the same as what KSW reported some days back.

Paras’ appointment as guest player has drawn criticism from all corners. Fans are calling it a “typical brain-fade JKCA decision” while former cricketers term JKCA’s decision-making “worse”.
“Paras is a friend but this is unfortunate. JKCA is going from bad to worst in its decision-making,” former J&K captain Samiullah Beigh said.
“J&K has reached the quarterfinals of the Ranji Trophy twice and both times we had all homegrown players. We spoke against outside players when we were playing and we are speaking against it now as well. Nothing personal with Paras or anyone else,” he added.

Samiullah questioned how JKCA would justify this decision.
“I wonder how would the decision makers justify this, when out of chair. Just as roping in M. Bisla, Shafiq Khan, and Irfan Pathan was a bad decision, how is this decision a better one. This is a shocker for me to say the least,” Beigh remarked.
