Srinagar, Oct 25 : The Chamber of Commerce & Industries Kashmir (CCIK) and the J&K Hoteliers Club (JKHC) extended a warm welcome to the Indian Heaven Premier League (IHPL) at a special event hosted at Noor Lounge, Radisson Srinagar.
The evening brought together members of CCIK, JKHC, and several national and international cricket players, fostering engaging interactions between the business community and the sporting world.
Chairman of JKHC Mushtaq Ahmad Chaya praised the IHPL organizers for choosing Srinagar as a venue, saying the event would play a key role in boosting Kashmir’s tourism sector.
“This league will not only promote cricket but also highlight Kashmir as a vibrant and peaceful destination,” Chaya said.
CCIK President Tariq Ghani called IHPL a golden opportunity for local players to share the field with top-level cricketers from across India and abroad.
“We will continue to support such initiatives that promote sports, tourism, and opportunities for our youth,” Ghani added, emphasizing that Kashmiri youth have immense talent but lack sufficient platforms to showcase it.
All CCIK office bearers were present at the event, which also featured the launch of the IHPL logo and team jerseys. The gathering concluded with a high tea hosted by Khaja Amir, owner of Noor Lounge, who was thanked by CCIK for his hospitality.
Adding to the encouragement, Naseem Chaya assured full backing from the Mushtaq Group of Hotels to the participating players and the organizers.
The IHPL initiative is being widely hailed as a new chapter for sports and tourism in the Kashmir Valley, combining athletic spirit with economic and cultural vibrancy.
