The newly formed District Cricket Association Budgam has welcomed the notice issued by J&K Cricket Association in which it has invited registration of the District Cricket units across the State.
The Budgam unit held its meeting on Thursday, April 11-2019 in which it welcomed the move.
“We do express our sincere gratitude to JKCA for implementing recommendations of Justice Lodha committee for the flourishing the game of cricket in State in general and for establishing district sports clubs in particular,” a Statement issued said.
In this regard, meeting of District Budgam Cricket Association was held today on April 11 at Heaven Inn Guest House Budgam as recommended by President Aga Syed Rohullah Mehdi in which member representatives of all Tehsils,Blocks were present to contribute ideologically and physically to bring on track derailed cricket game in the district on the development path,” Statement said.
The representatives present in the meeting Tehsil representatives were directed to register their cricket clubs to District Cricket Association Budgam .
In the meeting JKCA CEO was also hailed for making efforts for cricket development.
