Srinagar: The students of Baba Naseeb-ud-Din Memorial Public School Sangam Eidgah Srinagar bagged 32 medals in the recently held Srinagar Pencak Silat Martial Art championship.
In the event students of the school bagged 6 Gold, 8 Silver and 18 Bronze Medals. The event was organised by District Srinagar Pencak Silat Association in collaboration with Pencak Silat Association of J &k under the aegis of J& k Sports Council in Indoor Stadium Polo Ground.
The School Management has praised the physical education teacher Parvez and his team for training the students within just twenty sessions for the event.
The gold medals were secured by Tabish Fayaz (8th class), Arbeena Muzaffar ( 8th class ), Sahil Shabir ( class 6th ), Muskaan ( class 5th ) , Soliha ( class 5th ), Suzain (class 7th ).
The Silver medals were won by 8 students namely Ahmad (2nd Class), Nazim ( 7th class) ,Ronaq ( 7th class) , Hafsa ( U.k.G class) , Uzair ( 6th class) ,Zaid ( 4th class) ,Owais ( 4th class) ,Khushboo ( 8th class).
The bronze medals were won by 18 students namely Aahil (2nd class), Snowber (3rd class),Tabasum ( 7th class), Uzma ( 8th class), Huzaifa ( 8th class),Ayaan ( 7th class ), Aadil (8th class) ,Murtaza ( 8th class), Nazim ( 7th class) ,Aalim (6th class), Imaad Fayaz ( 6th class),Danish ( 6th class ),Hazib ( 4th class), Muhammad ( 3rd class),Asma ( 7th class ) , Aqsa ( 7th class) ,Ronaq Ishtiyaq ( 5th class),Arbeena ( class 2nd ) .
The School Management and Principal Maroofa Mir praised all teachers particularly Iqra Bashir, Danish and Irfana for constantly encouraging the students throughout the event. The efforts and cooperation of parents were also praised by the School Management and Principal.
