The ICS Blues defeated the ICS Reds in the finals of inter-group Badminton finals (men) to lift the Islamia College inter-group Badminton trophy for the year 2019 at Islamia College Hawal Srinagar on Friday, March 29.
The match was played on Islamia college open badminton court and the ICS Blues won the keenly played contest with the score 2:1. For ICS Blues Asif won the first singles and Faisal levelled the score for ICS Reds. But then Asif and Faizan of Blues team won the doubles to clinch the trophy. Prof Nasreen Quresh senior member of the college sports committee gave away the prizes among the winners and the Runners up. The tournament is organised by the Department of Physical Education of the college.
From Monday the April fool’s day the department is organising inter group Table Tennis tournament for men, in the College Physical Education Hall.
