Bawan, Aditi, Kajal shine as J&K beat Mizoram

Srinagar: J&K defeated Mizoram by nine wickets in the ongoing Women’s U-23 One-Day Trophy at Sharad Pawar Cricket Academy BKC, Mumbai today.

Batting first, Mizoram bundled out for 71 runs in 36.4 overs. Zauli (21) and Jacinta (15) were the main contributors.
For J&K, Aditi Aryan was the most successful bowler, who took 4 wickets , while Kajal Bhagat took 3 important wickets. Mariya Noorain, skipper Ananaya Sharma and Arveen Riyaz claimed one wicket each.

In reply, J&K on the back of Bawandeep Kaur chased the target easily in 14 overs, losing one wicket in the process, thus won the match by 9 wickets. Bawandeep top scored with unbeaten 43 runs while opening batter Lalita contributed 10 runs to the total and Shambhavi Rajput contributed unbeaten 6 runs.

For Mizoram, Ruati claimed the lone wicket to fall.
