The outspoken Italy International and current Marseille forward Mario Balotelli has taken a dig at Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo and has said that no one should compare him with the Argentine Cristiano Ronaldo Lionel Messi.
The reaction of ever controversial Mario Balotelli or Super Mario came after Messi produced another stunning display for Barcelona in the UEFA champions League clash against Liverpool.
In the match Messi scored brace for Barcelona as they beat Liverpool by 3-0 in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.
Taking to his Instagram account Balotelli posted, “ For the love of football please do not compare him to the No.7 of Juventus anymore!”
His message was tweeted by sports journalist Siavoush Fallahi as well and since then has been trending on twitter.
Messi has the chance to equal Ronaldo’s haul of five Champions League titles this year, and he has spoken about his desire to bring the famous trophy back to the Camp Nou.
And Balotelli isn’t the only person who shares the opinion of Messi being the best player of recent times.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp revealed prior to last night’s game that he believes the Argentine to be a level above the rest of the pack.
“Messi would be the player at number one,” he declared.
