Srinagar: Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam has given a update on Pakistan squad for the T20 World Cup 2024.
Babar Azam confirmed that the selection committee along with the management is clear on what is going to be squad for the mega event.
“You [reporters] should wait until the team [for the World Cup] is announced. For now, everyone is saying that this or that should be our team but the selection committee, captain and the management are clear on what will be our squad,” Azam said during a presser ahead of the first England T20I on Tuesday.
“Every series is a new one for you and this is a great golden opportunity for us before the World Cup. The World Cup starts in two to three weeks so we will try to get as many positive things and confidence as we can. Winning the series would boost our confidence and that is our goal for now,” Babar added.
20 teams are participating in the T20 World Cup, all except Pakistan have announced their squads. As per earlier reports, the Green Shirts will name their 15-man contention for the mega event after the first T20I against England which will be played on May 22 in Leeds.
