Srinagar: The continued lean patch with bat has meant that Pakistan skipper Babar Azam dropping to fourth place in the ICC T20I batting rankings.
Team India’s Suryakumar Yadav has jumped to third place, pushing Babar Azam down to fourth the batting table.
Yadav scored 46 for India during their narrow loss to Australia in the first T20I at Mohali. SKY stands on third place with 780 points, whereas South Africa’s Aiden Markram is on second spot with 792 points.
Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Rizwan is occupying top spot with 825 points to his name. Rizwan struck an impressive half-century in the recent first T20I against England at Karachi’s National Stadium.
Babar, who had occupied the top slot for a long time, has seen a dip in form recently. He scored 31 against England in the first T20I as he was cleaned up by a googly from leg-spinner Adil Rashid.
