Auqib Nabi’s phenomenal bowling display on Monday led J&K to an easy win against Himachal Pradesh in the two-day practice match at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium, Srinagar.
The pacer scalped four wickets as Himachal was chasing a 276-run target. Thanks to the fifties by Vivrant Sharma, Sahil Lotra and Abid Mushtaq, J&K posted a decent total in the first innings.
Himachal, in reply, were pushed on the backfoot by some disciplined bowling by J&K. Apart from Auqib, Yudhvir Singh and Rohit Sharma also picked up two wickets each while Rasikh Salam and Abid Mushtaq shared a solitary wicket.
Himachal Pradesh is currently touring J&K for practice matches ahead of Ranji Trophy, which starts from October 11. J&K will play its first match against Maharashtra at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium as Ranji Trophy will return to Kashmir after six years.
