Alpine, Nordic teams leave for Auli

J&K Nordic and Alpine ski teams of Winter Games Association Of Jammu And Kashmir on Monday left for Auli from Srinagar on Monday, February 25-2019.

The team was flagged off from Srinagar airport by Winter Games Association of J&K President Mohammad Abass Wani.

Teams comprise of nine member Nordic and Alpine ski team led by Muhammad Yusuf, has left for Auli to take part in Nationals starting from February 26. Due to road blockade the team was sent by air from Srinagar today. They will take part in different events of Nordic ski, Alpine ski and Snowboarding.

 The championship is being organised by Uttaranchal Olympic Association under the Aegis of Indian Olympic Association.

Abass Wani expressed his gratitude to Secretary General, IOA Rajeev Mehta, and convener Adhoc Body ski Rakesh Sharma for making the participation of J&K team possible.
