
The temperatures are flying high and with crucial ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 match between neighbors Pakistan and Afghanistan in progress at Leeds, fans of both Countries have started to fight inside and outside stadium.
The situation as per reports has turned ugly with security removing fighting fans from the stadium. Senior Pakistan journalist said tweeted about the incident.
“Some ugly scenes inside and outside the ground – Afghan and Pakistani fans fighting, a few have been thrown out of the ground by security,” he tweeted.
“While I was making footage of Afghanis attack on Pakistani spectators.The angered crowd manhandled me as well.Tried to snatch mobile phone and pushed me several times.Thanks to security for timely response.Surprised and shocked to see such hatredness towards Pakistanis., Tweeted Makhdoom Abu-Bakar Bilal.
“What an I’ll mannered and pathetic crowd from #Afganistan , they r abusing and attacking the people inside and outside the stadium , they also hit a Pakistani Journalist @makhdoomab outside the stadium. Thank God he is safe,” Tweeted another journalist Zukhruf Khan.
“Afghan fans clash with security officials and Pakistani Fans. Also harass Pakistani media personnel,” Tweeted Pak journalist Anas Saeed.
“I have covered hundreds of international games, never seen such pathetic behaviour, full of hatred and abuses, they even harassed Pakistani journalists, manhandled @makhdoomab outside the ground. Such hostility isn’t seen even in India Pakistan games,” Tweeted senior Pakistan journalist Faizan Lakhani.
While Afghanistan is playing for pride after having lost all its matches in the tournament, the tie is crucial for the Pakistan’s chances of making it into semifinal.
