Srinagar: The elections of the Jammu and Kashmir Carrom Association were held during its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 26th December 2024 at Sher e Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex, Srinagar.
The meeting marked a significant milestone in promoting carrom and strengthening the association’s foundation in the region.
In the elections held Adil Shah was elected as President of the Association.
The election of office bearers was carried out under the supervision of Musbat Ismail Wani (Deputy Legal Remembrancer), appointed as the Returning Officer by the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council, and Dr. Altaf ur Rehman (Director of Physical Education,Islamia College, Srinagar,Retd.), who acted as the Observer on behalf of the All India Carrom Federation, New Delhi.
The association is immensely grateful to Arif Sultan, whose hard work and dedication made this day possible. Special thanks are extended to Nuzhat Gull, Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council, for promoting Sports in the J&K at the grassroot level and facilitating a smooth passage & supporting good-working associations.

The AGM concluded with a pledge to work tirelessly for the welfare and growth of carrom in Jammu and Kashmir. The association emphasized organizing zonal and district tournaments and strengthening its presence to elevate carrom to greater heights.
