Srinagar: J&K’s Abid Nabi has been picked by the Delhi Knights franchise, led by ex-India pacer Praveen Kumar, for the upcoming Epic Victory Cricket League (EVCL), which will feature several former cricketers from across the country.
Abid, who is currently serving as a coach with the J&K Sports Council, is among the few cricketers from Jammu and Kashmir to be selected for the T20 league.
Earlier, Abid was also the only cricketer from J&K to feature in the Legends League Cricket (LLC), one of the most prominent tournaments for retired cricketers.
Hailing from Sonwar, Abid represented J&K in domestic cricket for several years and was among the first players from the region to come close to national selection. He remains one of J&K’s most accomplished fast bowlers in the Ranji Trophy.
