Srinagar, November 10: Aakif Reshi shined as J&K Bank FC retained the Khyber Milk Premier Division Football League title , defeating Kashmir Avengers FC in the final played at Synthetic Turf Stadium Srinagar on Wednesday , November 10.
In the match J&K Bank defeated Kashmir Avengers FC by 2-1 margin.
In the beginning Avengers dominated Bank FC which also resulted in a magnificent goal by Kelvin in the 8th mint of the first half.
This took every body by surprise. Kashmir Avenger FC virtual dominated the game and succeeded in presenting quality Football which was highly appreciated by the spectators present. The first half ended 1:0 in favour Kashmir Avenger FC.
The 2nd half started with a brisk note and J&K Bank consolidated their position. In one such move Aakif of J&K Bank made no mistake in converting a beautiful header thus leveling the score.
J&K Bank was able to score second goal in the 60th minute . Aakif Javed was again the scorer.
Kashmir Avengers FC went all out to find the net again for equalizer but the defence line of J&K Bank didnt allow them to penetrate.
The match ended with 2-1 score in favour of Bank.
Nuzhat , Div. Sports Officer (K) JKSC was the chief guest on the occasion , and distributed prizes and mementoes to the players and Officials.
The Tournament was organized by DFA Srinagar in collaboration with JKSC.
