Riyadh: Cristiano Ronaldo produced another moment of magic as he scored a sensational overhead kick in Al-Nassr’s 4–1 victory over Al-Khaleej at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh, reminding the world once again why he remains one of the game’s greatest finishers—even at 40 years old.
Deep into stoppage time, Ronaldo launched himself into the air to meet Nawaf Boushal’s precise right-wing cross, executing a perfectly controlled bicycle kick to seal the win. The strike was his 954th career goal, drawing comparisons to his legendary Champions League overhead kick for Real Madrid vs Juventus in 2018, as well as his bicycle kick against Poland in the Nations League in 2024.
The goal also marked his 10th Saudi Pro League goal of the season, further cementing his influence on Al-Nassr’s title pursuit.
Al-Nassr extend perfect league run
Ronaldo’s acrobatic finish capped off a commanding performance from Al-Nassr, who have now recorded nine wins from nine matches.
Joao Felix and Sadio Mane were also on the scoresheet, contributing to a dominant display that pushes Al-Nassr four points clear at the top of the table.
Despite his glittering individual form, Ronaldo—winner of five Ballon d’Or titles—is still chasing his first trophy in Saudi Arabia since joining the club in 2023. This latest performance, however, underlines his continued hunger and match-winning impact.
Al-Nassr’s title ambitions look stronger than ever as their captain continues to defy age with world-class moments.
