Vishal, Janib shine for J&K vs Gujarat in match U-23 CK Nayudu Trophy

Srinagar: J&K spinners, Janib Javaid and Vishal Kumar both took five wicket hauls against Gujarat in the Under 23 CK Nayudu Trophy match at Sardar Patel Stadium, Valsad, Gujarat on Monday.

At the end of days play, J&K were 93/3 while chasing 332 run target.

Shivansh Sharma was at the crease on 31 runs with Kanhaiya Wadhawan who was on 23 runs. Rhdham Sharma (23), Qazi Junaid (6) and Yawer Hassan (6) were the three batters who got out.

Earlier, on Day-1, Gujarat got all out for 104 runs in first innings with Vishal Kumar , Janib Javaid and Basit Bashir bagging 4, 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
In reply J&K bundled out for 100 run total, thus conceding a lead of 4 runs to Gujarat.
YD Zala took 6 wickets for Gujarat while Jay Malusare bagged 2.

Gujarat in the second innings on the back of Rishi Patel’s 123 posted a total of 335 runs. YD Zala also scored 51 runs.

For J&K, Janib Javaid and Vishal Kumar took 5 wickets each.

J&K still needed 247 runs for victory, while Gujarat needed 7 wickets.
