Srinagar: Star all-rounder Abid Mushtaq and debutant Vanshaj Sharma both took match haul of 10 wickets to guide J&K to a thrilling 19 run Ranji Trophy victory vs host Pondicherry at Siechem Cricket Stadium, Pondicherry today.
By taking 10 wickets on debut, Vanshaj Sharma has created history as he became the first bowler for J&K to claim a match haul of 10 wickets on debut. Abid Mushtaq bowled also took 10 wickets in the match.
Earlier, resuming from an overnight score of 35/7, Pondicherry began well early in the morning to take the score to 56/7 before Vanshaj joined the act bundling out the hosts for 67 runs, to guide Jammu and Kashmir to emphatic 19-run win.
Chasing a total of 87 runs, Pondicherry struggled on day-2 and lost 7 wickets.
For J&K, Vanshaj Sharma and Abid Mushtaq bothhad a match haul of 10 wickets each.
