Srinagar: J&K pacer Umran Malik has been continiously ignored by BCCI selectors and on Thursday was also overlooked for the South Africa tour that recieved angry reaction from former India pacer Irfan Pathan.
The fastest India pacer was overlooked for India’s tour of South Africa in all formats and Pathan reacted to that.
“I’m pretty sure the guy who was in the Indian team’s playing 11 few months back can surely find a place in India A side. #umranmalik,” Irfan Pathan wrote on Twitter.
In recent times after being overlooked for India team, Umran Malik has been playing for J&K in domestic circuit. He has struggled in those matches as well.
Irfan Pathan owing to his association with J&K cricket in past, has been backing J&K talent. He has always backed Umran and wasnt happy when Sunrisers Hyderabad had dropped Umran from playing eleven in IPL 2023.
“League’s fastest bowler sitting out baffles me. Umran Malik wasn’t handled well by his team,” Pathan had tweeted in 2023.
Meanwhile users on X has been slamming BCCI for mishandling Umran who is India’s fastest ever bowler.
