Srinagar: The fans of star cricketer Virat Kohli continue to haunt Afghanistan star Naveen ul Haq and teased him during the Afghanistan vs Bangladesh World Cup 2023 match Dharamsala.
When Naveen-ul-Haq was fielding along the boundary rope during Bangladesh’s chase of a paltry total of 157, a few fans were seeing Virat Kohli’s name from the stands.
Naveen-ul-Haq did not pay heed to the chants as he kept his composure and continued to do his job on the field.
It was a forgettable outing for Afghanistan in their World Cup 2023 opener as they were outclassed by 6 wickets by Bangladesh who chased down 157 in 34.4 overs. Afghanistan imploded with the bat as they went from 112 for 2 to 156-all out after Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz spun a web, picking up 3 wickets each.
Bangladesh then rode on fifties from Medhiy and Najmul Shanto to get their campaign off to a great start in Dharamsala.
Naveen ul Haq had a heated moment with Virat Kohli during IPL 2023 which then escalated with the involvement of Gautam Gambhir.
Ever since, Naveen is being teased by Kohli wherever he goes.
