Srinagar: Pakistan hard hitting batter Asif Ali was at his absolute best the he smashed Pakistan premier pacer Haris Rauf for four consecutive sixes in the exhibition T10 match between PCB-XI and Lahore Qalandars XI at Narowal Sports Complex.
Asif Ali went on to score 62 runs from 26 balls as he helped PCB XI to a score of 120 run total in 10 overs.
Meanwhile Fakhar Zaman turned out as star for Lahore Qalandars as they earned 10-wicket victory over PCB XI.
Earlier after PCB-XI were reeling at 45-3 in 4.2 overs, Asif Ali and Khushdil Shah formed an important partnership.
The duo took PCB XI to 73-3 in 8 overs, after which Asif upped the ante in the second over of Haris Rauf and smashed four consecutive sixes against the Qalandars skipper.
The hard-hitting batter wasn’t done yet as he also hit Hunain Shah for a couple for boundaries in the final over, before getting out for 62 (26), which helped PCB XI post a competitive total of 119-5.
Chasing a target of 120 runs, Fakhar and Tahir Baig, provided an ideal start, scoring 50 runs in the first four overs, with Baig doing the bulk of the scoring.
Fakhar also took charge of the proceedings and attacked Usman Qadir, hitting the leg-spinner for three consecutive fours in the fifth over of the innings.
Lahore Qalandars XI beat PCB XI comprehensively by 10 wickets with 14 balls to spare.
Fakhar Zaman hit 68* off 23 balls with 7 sixes, including 4 off Usman Qadir. Tahir Baig made 51* off 22 balls.
