Injury scare for Haris Sohail, likely to miss first New Zealand ODI

Srinagar: Pakistan left handed batter Haris Sohail is likely to miss first ODI against New Zealand due to injury scare he had in training session.

As per reports Sohail landed awkwardly on his left shoulder during a fielding drill on Wednesday.

His initial scans at a local hospital were satisfactory. The medical team will assess him before the first ODI tomorrow to determine if he can play, reports said.

The team doctor has advised Sohail to rest and recover to avoid aggravating the injury further.

“Shan Masood was also hit on his finger during practice. However, his injury is not serious and he is likely to be available for the first ODI,” report further said.

On Monday, wicketkeeper-batter, Mohammad Haris, was also included in Pakistan ODI squad for the five-match series against New Zealand.
