Two more J&K pacers, including Auqib Nabi and Tahir Bhat, have been inducted as net bowlers for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, KSW learnt on Friday.
Both right-arm quicks have joined the Sunrisers Hyderabad’s camp, which is being held at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium.
While Tahir, a tall lanky pacer known for his pace, has been a part of the SRH camp for a few days now, Auqib, the senior campaigner, joined the franchise on Friday.
It takes the total count of J&K players in Sunrisers Hyderabad to five with Abdul Samad, Umran Malik and Vivrant Sharma already a part of the playing squad.
Umran Malik and Vivrant Sharma had both served as net bowlers at Sunrisers Hyderabad before getting picked for the main team. It means both Auqib and Tahir have a chance to impress the franchise’s think-tank and be the next J&K players at the cash-rich IPL.
6 more bowlers including Abid Mushtaq (CSK), Mujtaba Yousif (CSK), Basit Bashir (MI), Waseem Bashir (LSG), Umar Nazir (PBKS) and Samiullah Dar (KKR) are already part of different IPL franchises as net bowlers.
