Srinagar: Former Team India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar has compared Team India superstar batter Virat Kohli with former Pakistan skipper Imran Khan.
“To play for the win was Virat Kohli’s specialty just like Imran Khan. Whenever he -Kohli- is on the ground or in the dressing room he doesn’t even think that he is second best just like Imran,” Manjrekar was quoted by Cricwick.
“I remember Ramiz Raja telling us that Imran Khan was such a positive thinker that he never heard him uttering a single negative word in the dressing room,” he further was quoted as saying.
The noted Cricket commentator said that Virat Kohli’s positive attitude and never say die attitude lifted Team India many times.
“Even during his [Kohli’s] Test captaincy days, there have been instances where India was in a losing position but his body language suggested otherwise. And by looking at him the other players also got motivated so they can still win the game,” Manjrekar told Cricwick.
“He just goes out to win no matter what and when they lose, his body language suggests that he is shocked by the result.”
