Maharashtra on Wednesday defeated J&K by massive 138 runs to make it to the semi-finals of the U19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy.
Batting first, Maharashtra piled up a huge total of 357 runs on board. All J&K bowlers, expect Ranjot Singh were taken for runs.
Arshin Kulkarni scored a hundred (119 off 111) and skipper SS Dhas made 73 off 53, helping Maharashtra stay on top of the match. For J&K, Mousab Mohammad Bhat took 3 wickets.
In reply, only Arya Thakur (57 off 46) and Rydham (53 off 58) showed some spark. Rest of the batters looked unimpressive. J&K was bowled out on 219 runs, conceding a defeat of 138 runs. Prateek Tiwari picked four wickets for Maharashtra.
J&K had made it to the knockouts of Vinoo Mankad Trophy first time in 14 years, however, couldn’t progress further.
