Guest player Anju Tomar continues her Test-cricket display in T20s, costing J&K 3rd humiliating defeat

Anuj Tomar, who was roped in by JKCA as a guest player this season, yet again batted miserably, costing J&K third defeat in the ongoing Senior Women T20 Trophy.

Tomar made 18 runs off 56 balls in a chase of 144 runs, yet again making people believe she has mistaken T20s for Test cricket. She, being the guest player, was expected to take the J&K women’s team to higher levels but it seems she is doing completely opposite.

She played in a similar fashion in last match as well. Other batters also continued their dismal run, including Shivanti Gupta (5 off 17) and Bushra Ashraf (7 off 15) showing no intent again.

Rubia Syed was the only ray of hope. She has been the only batter who has stood up. The right-handed batter made unbeaten 27 runs off 28 balls.

Earlier, Railways posted 143 runs on board, thanks to SR Mane’s unconquered 64 off 53. For J&K Sandya (4-14-1) was pick of the bowlers.

In reply, J&K could only make humiliating 61/5 in the allotted 20 overs, conceding 82-run defeat.
