In the ongoing Hajin Premier League, today two matches were played in which Hilal Sports Hajin and Humza Glass CC outplayed their opponents to enter second round of the tournament.
In the first match, Hilal Sports Hajin defeated Scorpion CC Ganderbal in a close contest by 3 wickets.
Batting first, Ganderbal managed to post a total of 136/9 on board in alloted 20 overs. Mohd Shafi was the main contributor with 31 runs to his name. Zahoor Ahmad bagged 3 wickets for hid team Hilal Sports.
In response, Hilal Sports lost 4 wickets in the powerplay but thanks to Umer’s brilliant knock of 62 runs they managed to chase down the target in 19 overs(137/7). Zahoor Ahmad also added valuable 28 runs to his name. For Ganderbal, Waheed scalped 4 wickets giving away only 18 runs.
Zahoor Ahmad was adjudged as player of the match for his all-round brilliance.
While as in the second match of the day, Humza Glass CC registered a comfortable win over Wonder Boys Hajin by a margin of 37 runs.
Batting first, Humza CC posted a moderate total of 126/9 on board in alloted 20 overs. Showket and Sabir played valuable knocks of 38 and 34 runs respectively. For Wonder Boys, Imran grabbed 4 wickets while as Umar also scalped 3 wickets.
In reply, Wonder Boys never looked comfortable in chase as they were bundled out on mere 89 runs in 18.1 overs. Jameel top scored with 28 runs to his name. Bilal Shafi bowled a match winning spell for his team Humza CC as he bagged 4 wickets giving only 26 runs in his 4 overs.
