Srinagar: Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli starred with the bat as India beat Hong Kong in their second group match of Asia Cup 2022 to seal Super 4 berth.
India defeated Hong Kong by 40 runs as the minnows gave tough fight to Team India while chasing 192 run total.
Earlier, A 98-run stand for the third wicket between Suryakumar Yadav (68 not out) and Virat Kohli (59 not out) helped to put on 192 runs in 20 overs. Suryakumar Yadav scored a 22-ball fifty, his sixth in the T20Is. On the other hand, after a sedate start, Virat Kohli scored a 40-ball fifty, his 31st in the T20I.
In reply Hong Kong scored 152 for the loss of five wickets in allotted overs. Babar Hayat scored 41 while as Kinchit Shah scored 30.
