Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to enhance sports budget of the state and also also to bring it at par with education so that youths in the state can participate more in sports activities, a report in India Today’s website has said.
The state chief minister, while addressing police sports teams on the closing ceremony of All India Police Hockey Championship at KK Hakkhu Astro Turf Stadium in Jammu, said that the education and sports must go together but it is unfortunate that when the state has budget for sports then it don’t have for education and or the other way round.She also expressed hope that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would focus on sports as well equally of education in the state.
