“Jaldi tod dengai”: Watch what Umran Malik says about breaking Shoaib Akhtar’s record

Srinagar: Ever since Umran Malik made his debut in Indian Premier League (IPL), the word ‘speed’ has been in the focus. The Jammu and Kashmir youngster left everyone awestruck with his sheer raw pace. When he clocked 157kmph in the IPL 2022, people started wondering if he could break Shoaib Akhatar’s record.

Akhtar had long back bowled the fastest delivery in world cricket at 161.3kmph. Nobody since has been able to get through it. Many like Shaun Tait, Brett Lee, Mitchell Starc, etc came close but failed to break the record.

However, with Umran being just 22 and quite raw as yet, many people including some legends of the game believe he can do the impossible by going pas the veteran Pakistan pacer.
