Srinagar, May 29: 2022 has been a delightful year for Jammu and Kashmir Cricket. First, Umran Malik and Abdul Samad were retained ahead of IPL auction. Then, Rasikh Salam also got picked in the auction. And finally, Umran Malik made it to the Indian team squad for upcoming South Africa series, becoming just second J&K cricketer to make it to the national team.
This is not it. There were several J&K cricketers with different IPL teams as net-bowlers. One among them was Sharukh Dar, a right-arm pacer from Srinagar. Dar has been in the limelight for a while, especially for his speed.
This year he got an opportunity to showcase his skills in the nets of Sunrisers Hyderabad as he was a part of the SRH contingent as a net-bowler. With Dale Steyn being the bowling coach of the franchise, Sharukh enjoyed his outing thoroughly.
Before the start of IPL 2022, his spectacular catch during a practice game left SRH captain Kane Williamson impressed. He was also seen bowling to star batters of SRH.
Sharukh has played just one match for J&K senior side in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy after doing quite well in the age-group cricket.
