JKCA announces Talent Hunt schedule for Kashmir province

Srinagar, April 29: Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) on Friday announced the schedule for upcoming Talent Hunt for Kashmir province.

Mr. Mithun Manhas, Member Cricket Operations & Development, JKCA, while announcing the schedule stated that as announced earlier, the Kashmir Province has been divided in 4 zones including Ladakh. The trials at Ladakh has already been conducted at Leh w.e.f. 26th April, 2022 to 30th April, 2022.

The venue wise details of the remainder 3 Zones of Kashmir are:

1.  U19 Men’s6th May to 8th May
2.  U23 Men’s9th May to 10th May
3.  Senior Men’s11th May to 13th May

The Venues for different zones are: 

a. North Zone Venue (Kushal stadium Sopore).

b. South Zone Venue ( Tikibagh Mattan)

c. Central Zone Venue  (S K stadium Srinagar)

The same schedule will be followed for Talent Hunt trials for women. Brig. Anil Gupta (Retd.), Member Administration, JKCA, stated that the trials will be held in whites for men and in colored clothing for women.

The trials will commence everyday at the given venue at 9:00 AM and players are advised to report at the designated venue well before the given time. As intimated earlier, each player has to bring with him digitized DOB certificate, School leaving certificate/marksheet/other documents will not be accepted as DOB proof.

The cut off dates for the various age groups are:

a. U-23 – Born on or after 01 September, 1999

b. U-19 – Born on or after 01 September, 2003

c. U-16 – Born on or after 01 September, 2006

“JKCA hopes that maximum budding players will avail this opportunity and at the end of it we would have enough new faces available for further camps.”

Each player is advised to bring the following certificate duly signed by their parents/guardians:

“I ____________________ father/mother/guardian of ______________________ hereby certify that he/she is voluntary participating in the J&K Cricket Association talent hunt trials for the age group ________________________ which is being held at ______________on ______________________. I have no objection if my son/ward participates in the said talent hunt trials and subsequent tournament, if selected. JKCA will not be responsible in case any mishap occurs during the trials/tournaments”
