Srinagar: Jammu & Kashmir Mountaineering And Hiking Club (JKMHC), has announced the schedule for the upcoming International Mountain Day celebration scheduled to be held at SKICC on December 11.
International Mountain Day is being celebrated by the JKMHC and Tourism Department on coming Sunday, December 11 at SKICC – Srinagar.
The programe will start at 9 0’clock with assembling of participants at the UNO office at Sonwar for carrying out the sanitation/cleaning drive of Shankeracharya and descent towards Nehru Park. From, 10:30 to 11:30 showcasing of Banff Movies, from 11:15 to 11:30- Tea break, from 11:30AM To 12:30PM- Showcasing of Banff Movies, from 12:30 PM To 1:30 PM- Presentations by Club members, from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM- Lunch Break.
From 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM- Address by the President of the JKMHC.
During the function , Achievements of the Club during the year would be highlighted as the book titled The Mountain Man By, Imtayaz Khan would be released. On the occasion , felicitation of Climbathon participants and also awards to club members for their outstanding achievements during the current year would be given.
President of the Indian Mountaineering Federation (IMF) would give out concluding remarks.
