Jammu, September 18: Suryansh Raina and Abid Mushtaq were the star performers in the first trial match played on Saturday at GGM Science College Ground, here.
Batting first, Team ‘B’ led Shubham Pundir posted a good total of 189 runs on board. Suryansh Raina was the willow-weilder, scoring unbeaten 90 runs in 60 balls.
Jatin Wadhwan aslo scored 46 runs off 36 balls. For Team ‘A’ led by Aditya Pratap, Saksham picked a couple of wickets.
In reply, thanks to some incredible bowling by Pundir’s men, Team ‘A’ was bundled out on meagre 48 runs.
Abid Mushtaq was the wrecker-in-chief, picking 2 wickets while giving away only 5 runs in his 2.5 overs. Apart from him, Ram Dayal, Samparak and Kulwinder picked a couple of wickets each.
These trial matches are played to select the team for Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
