Srinagar, August 05: Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) Thursday asked all its registered cricketers to stay away from unrecognised leagues, tournaments being held in and outside J&K.
In a notice issued on Thursday, August 5, by JKCA sub-committee member Brig. Anil Gupta , JKCA has asked its cricketers to stay away from the unauthorised tournaments.
“All cricketers registered with JKCA/BCCI are hereby advised not to participate in any tournament within J&K UT or Outside, which is not recognised by JKCA/BCCI,” notice reads.
There has been mashrooming of cricket events across J&K and top-level cricketers have been seen playing in almost all those events. In order to streamline things and keep all events under radar for any unauthorised activity, JKCA on the lines of BCCI, has taken this decision.
