Srinagar 31 July 2021: In the ongoing Janwara Premier League, Happy Cricket Club defeated Blue Stars Naidkhai in nail biting contest on Friday July 30.
It was second match of the day was reduced to 18 overs as the Blue stars Naidkhai didn’t report ground on scheduled time. Happy Cricket Club were alloted 18 overs whereas Blue Stars Naidkhai were alloted 16 overs.
Happy cricket club Janwara knocked out Blue stars Naidkhai in a nail bitting encounter. Malik Waseem was declared as hero of the match.
Batting first Blue stars Naidkhai scored 135 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their alloted 16 overs. Maddy Rafi played a sensible inning of 68 in 38 balls. Sajad Rather also played an unbeaten inning of 18 runs. From Happy cricket club janwara Mohd Amir bowled a brilliant spell of three overs in which he conceded only 9 runs and took important 3 wickets. Umar Masoodi and Afaq Khan also took 2 wickets each.
Chasing the target of 136 runs in alloted 18 overs, the batsman of Happy cricket club played sensibly. Malik waseem played a sensible inning of 70 runs in 48 balls whereas Junaid also valuable 21 runs for his team. Afaq Khan scored 17 runs.
From Blue stars Naidkhai Arif lone and Waseem took 2 wickets each. Happy Cricket club Janwara chased the required target of 136 runs in 17.4 overs for the loss of 5 wickets, thus wins the close encounter by 5 wickets.
