Srinagar, June 17: While on papers everything seems fine, the ground reality of most of the playfields and stadiums is miserable and one such Playfield is located in Ganderbal District , behind SP Office.
As per photographs sent to Kashmir Sports Watch ( KSW) by locals of the area, the condition of the field is dilapidated and needs immediate attention.
“Just look at its condition. It has been in this condition since long. It becomes difficult to even walk on it, playing is a far concept. Please raise the issue,” pleaded Umar Farooq Rather.
About who owns the Playfield and under whose jurisdiction it comes, he replied , Sports Council.
The residents of the area have requested Sports Council and concerned authorities to please look into it and take necessary action.
“Our youngsters are playing in virtual mud with chances of injury,” said another player.
