Srinagar, April 12: With almost everyone in Cricket circles praising J&K all-rounder Abdul Samad’s last nights display for Sunrisers Hyderabad against Kolkatta Knight Riders in Indian Premier League , there was one surprise praise as well.
The surprise praise was from former Pakistan cricketer turned coach who himself has played in IPL. The talented J&K cricketer even responded to the praise .
Last night Samad scored unbeaten 19 off 8 balls against KKR which included two sixes of Pat Cummmins .
Taking to his official Twitter handle , former Pakistan All-Rounder Azhar Mahmood Tweeted, ” What a great talent this boy @ABDULSAMAD___1 @SunRisers ! Great striking . #IPL2021 #SRHvsKKR,”
Replying to the Tweet, Abdul Samad said Thankyou.
“Thankyou sir,” Tweeted Abdul Samad.
Azhar Mahmood was not the only to whom Samad replied but he also reacted to the praise from former India skipper Mohammed Azharuddin.
“The Manish Pandey-@johnnybairstow’s partnership during the @SunRisers chase was entertaining but @im_manishpandey though underrated could have pressed on a bit more. @ABDULSAMAD___1’s fearless display was great but SRH fast bowlers may have to find accuracy in the matches ahead,” Mohammed Azharuddin Tweeted.
Samad replied to Tweet by saying, ” Thankyou sir,”.
Amoung others who have praised Samad were Irfan Pathan, Harsha Bhogle , Aakash Chopra , RP Singh.
