JKCA provides financial aid for treatment of ailing cricketer; family thanks COA, CEO

Jammu, February 03: Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association Wednesday provided 1 lakh rupees for the treatment of ailing former cricketer Munish Raghuvanshi who is suffering from Chronic Pancreatitis.

The family of the cricketer later thanked JKCA CEO, Aashiq Bukhari and Committee of Administrators.

The family, in an email to JKCA, wrote:

“Thank you very much for accedding to our request and for sanctioning an amont of Rs One Lakh from JKCA for the treatment of our Son Manish Raghuvanshi who is suffering from Chronic Pancreatitis and is presently undergoing treatment at Delhi,

“We are also very thankful to Hon’ble Justice CK Prasad (COA) for approval of the financial aid in our favour.

We are specially thankful to Sh Ranjeet Kalra who came forward to help us and take up our case for help with JKCA authorities after he was informed about our son’s suffering by his fellow crickter friend Sourav Chopra of Jammu.”

Manish is undergoing treatment in a Delhi hospital.

“Our whole family shall remain grateful to you Bukhari Sahib and JKCA and Sh Munish and Tariq for this kind act of help. Please pray for Munish’s recovery,” it added

It’s pertinent to mention that Munish represented J&K in the Under 19 and Under 23 tournament
