Srinagar, Oct 7: A fiery spell of bowling from left arm pacer Zubair Pandith helped Shopian-XI to register a six wicket win against Kupwara-XI in the match of ongoing unofficial Inter-district 40- over cricket tournament match at Sheri Kashmir Cricket Stadium Sonwar here on Wednesday.
Batting first Kupwara XI got all out for 136 runs in 31 overs. Zubair Pandith shined with the ball for Shopian, taking four wickets in his eight over spell. He gave away only 20 runs and also bowled two maidens.
In reply Shopian XI achieved target for the loss of only four wickets. Zubair was awarded man of the match.
Zubair is talented left arm pacer from Shopian and last year was also selected for Ranji probables. However he was not selected for the main team.
