Srinagar, July 22: South African veteran spinner, Imran Tahir, on Wednesday said he is disappointed to have not played international cricket for Pakistan.

Born and bought up in Pakistan, Imran moved to South Africa with his family. He later got the opportunity to play for its national cricket team.

Talking about his early day, Tahir, said he wasn’t provided an opportunity to play for Pakistan.

“I used to play cricket in Lahore and it played a major role in where I am. I played most of my cricket in Pakistan but did not get a chance here, for which I am disappointed,” Tahir told Geo Super.

Thanking his wife for moving to South Africa and playing international cricket, Tahir said,

“It was hard leaving Pakistan but God blessed me and most of the credit for playing for South Africa goes to my wife.”
