Srinagar, May 21: Former Pakistan pacer, Shoaib Akhtar Wednesday said Indian veteran Sachin Tendulkar could have scored 1.3 lakh runs, if played in this era, and cannot be compared with Virat Kohli.
The Indian skipper is touching new heights with each passing match and breaking records, one after another. Owing to which, he often gets compared to arguably the best batsman produced in world cricket, Sachin Tendulkar.
However, Akhtar, who is known for his outspoken approach, said there is no place of comparison between the two.
“Tendulkar batted in the toughest era of cricket. If he had to get the chance now, he may hit more than 1.30 lakh runs. So, it’s not good to make a comparison between Sachin and Kohli,” Akhtar was quoted as saying in CricketPakistan.
Kohli also owns some spectacular numbers despite being just in his early 30’s, though is still a far away from achieving the heights Tendulkar achieved in his long career.
